Nearly all of the songs have been sent to us in WAV form. Four more scenes edited last night. Still hoping to have the rough cut by the end of the month.

Editing went great today! We edited 9 scenes…many, many fight scenes. Greg/Conni, Greg/Rebecca, Daisy/Erin, Daisy/Brad (and a little Katherine/Erin scene in there too)
And a REALLY powerful scene by Thad (Greg Matthews.
We have edited or re-edited (we are re-editing Voice) almost 50 of the 120 scenes and they are some of the toughest so the rest should go much faster.

Richard has finished the scenes where Katherine meets Brad and the mother/daughter fight after the scene. He has also finished the mother/daughter fight after the front yard fight. Boy, that’s a lot of fighting!
Also, Joni should be sending us the opening song she has recorded soon. It will be amazing!

Richard and I edited the “After the funeral” scenes and both beauty shop scenes and half of the front yard fight scene. Richard is working on the cell phone fight scene and fight scene today. (Monday) I hope to have more to report soon. We have also re-edited some sections of Voice.

We ramped a lot of shots in the party scene and I am loving how it is looking. We have some more work to do on it, but it should be finished soon.

At Voice of the Prodigal we are excited to announce that editing is progressing at a nice pace. A rough cut of several long sections has been compiled, and we are listening to music to see which pieces will work best for certain sections. This is a hard job as we have had gracious offers of music from several amazing artists.
The artists we are using include: Joni Atkins who is also writing songs for the film and helping with the score, The Well Experience, True Witness, and Sidewalk Prophets. We are also hoping to use: Beyond the Veil and Matthew and Lizi. Please support these bands by visiting their pages and listening to and buying their music! They have given so freely and will be richly blessed by God.
At this point in our editing, we are hoping to have a completed rough cut by the end of the summer and a polished version of the film by late fall. Please continue to pray for this project as the devil works hardest against those who are trying to glorify God. He has put MANY obstacles in our way, but God has helped us to prevail.
